Why Train With Wellness Canada?
Training at Wellness Canada is designed to prepare you for the practical realities of working with clients. Classes are led by Jennifer Wood, a Consulting Hypnotist who brings real client experience into the classroom. Students learn through instruction, demonstrations, discussion, guided practice, and constructive feedback.
Classes are intentionally small so there is time to ask questions, practise techniques, receive individual support, and develop confidence before working independently. Training also covers the professional side of working with clients, including consultations, discovery sessions, session planning, adapting techniques, informed consent, confidentiality, documentation, professional boundaries, scope of practice, and appropriate referrals.
The goal is for you to finish your training with more than knowledge of hypnosis techniques. You should understand how to prepare for a real client, communicate professionally, structure an effective session, respond to individual needs, and feel confident putting what you have learned into practice.
What You Will Learn
Wellness Canada’s training programs are designed to give students a strong understanding of hypnosis while developing the practical skills needed to work with clients professionally and responsibly. Course content varies by program, but training may include how hypnosis works, focused attention and subconscious processes, client consultation and communication, goal setting, inductions, deepening techniques, suggestion development, and adapting your approach to different clients.
Students also learn how to plan and structure complete hypnosis sessions, respond appropriately during a session, and bring the hypnosis process to a professional close. Professional standards are incorporated throughout the training, including informed consent, confidentiality, documentation, boundaries, scope of practice, and knowing when referral to another qualified professional is appropriate.
Live demonstrations, exercises, discussion, and guided practice give students opportunities to apply what they are learning, receive feedback, and build confidence using their skills.

Meet Jennifer Wood
Jennifer Wood is the founder of Wellness Canada and Director of Hypnosis Education at Wellness Canada School of Hypnosis. She has worked professionally as a Consulting Hypnotist since 2018 and has been training students since 2021. Her teaching is informed by years of direct client work and focuses on helping students understand how hypnosis is applied in real sessions, not simply how techniques are performed.
Her teaching approach is straightforward, interactive and practical. Students learn through explanation, demonstration, discussion, guided practice and feedback rather than relying primarily on lectures or memorization. Training emphasizes why techniques are used, when they may be appropriate, how to adapt them to the individual client, and how to make sound professional decisions throughout a session.
Jennifer’s goal as an instructor is to help students leave training able to think independently, communicate confidently with clients, and apply what they have learned in a practical and professional way.
