Sleep

Sleep is an important part of feeling good, and when we feel good we are better equipped to take on the challenges of the day.

Below is a Self-Hypnosis Guideline to help you put yourself to sleep quickly and comfortably.

  1. Start by finding a comfortable and quiet place where you can lie down or sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, allowing yourself to relax and let go of any tension or worries.

  2. Imagine a peaceful, calming scene in your mind. This could be a beach, a forest, or any other place that brings you feelings of relaxation and tranquility. Take a few minutes to fully immerse yourself in this scene, using all of your senses to experience it fully.

  3. As you continue to relax, allow your thoughts to drift away and focus on the present moment. Notice the sounds around you, the sensation of your body against the surface you are lying on, and the feeling of your breath moving in and out of your body.

  4. As you continue to focus on the present moment, allow your body to become even more relaxed. Imagine a warm, soothing energy flowing through your body, starting at the top of your head and moving down to your toes.

  5. When you are feeling fully relaxed and at peace, it's time to begin the hypnosis portion of the script. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into relaxation. Imagine a staircase leading downward, with each step representing a deeper level of relaxation. As you take each step, allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

  6. As you continue to descend the staircase, allow yourself to let go of any worries or concerns. Let them drift away, knowing that you can address them in the morning when you are fully rested.

  7. When you reach the bottom of the staircase, allow yourself to fully let go and sink into a state of deep relaxation. Imagine yourself floating on a warm, gentle current, carried towards a state of restful sleep.

  8. Take a few more deep breaths, fully allowing yourself to relax and let go. As you do, remind yourself that you are in control of your own relaxation and that you can easily return to this state whenever you need to.

  9. When you are ready, allow yourself to drift off into a peaceful, restful sleep, knowing that you are fully relaxed and at peace.
