Neurodivergent Checklist
It can be challenging to navigate life when things feel different for you than they seem to be for others. Sometimes, there is an underlying reason for these differences. Some people are neurodivergent.
Neurodivergence is a broad term that encompasses a range of neurological differences, including conditions like autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), as well as learning disabilities like dyslexia. These differences in brain function can affect how people think, learn, and interact with the world around them.
If you think you might be neurodivergent, this checklist can be a helpful starting point for your own research and self-reflection. It's important to remember that this checklist is not a diagnostic tool. Only a qualified healthcare professional can provide a proper assessment and diagnosis.
Instructions:
-
Review the checklist below. You may not relate to every item, and that's perfectly normal. Neurodivergence is a spectrum, and everyone experiences it differently.
-
Consider how these items affect your daily life. Do they create challenges in your relationships, work, or overall well-being?
-
If you find that you identify with several items on the list and these items significantly interfere with your daily life, it's important to speak with a healthcare professional. They can provide further guidance and support.
Important Note: I am not a qualified healthcare professional and cannot provide diagnoses or treatment for neurodivergence. This checklist is for informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice.
